HS Baseball: Chaparral Names Chris Dress as their New Head Coach

Dress Brings 15 Years of Coaching Experience to the Pumas Baseball Program

Chaparral Athletic Director Dave Reisinger announced that Chris Dress has been selected as the Pumas New Head Baseball Coach. Coach Dress will be beginning his 15th season coaching and his second stint as a head coach.

Dress was the Head Coach at Great Oak in the 2018 season. He guided the Wolfpack to a 10-11 record overall and was 3-5 in Southwestern league play. He resigned in April.

Dress is a native of Orange County but played high school baseball in Maryland. He earned a scholarship to play baseball at Texas State University in San Marcos. In 1988 he graduated from Texas State, where he played baseball and majored in Marketing.

Dress later earned his teaching credential in 2005. He has also received his Masters degree in Educational Administration from National University in 2016. He and his wife Michelle currently reside in Temecula.

He has been a head coach at all levels of play and served as an assistant coach on varsity for 5 years.

Coach Dress has been very active in finding out about what the Puma Baseball program is all about and he is very excited to meet the players.

There will be a chance to meet the new coach on Monday, August 26th a 7am. The school will post the location of the meeting as soon as the venue is chosen.
