Centennial senior captain Sedrick Barefield scored 25 points as he led the Huskies past Redondo Union 85-64 Tuesday night and into the California State Regional Division 1 Playoff Championship game. The Huskies made it look easy as they jumped out to a 20-14 lead in the first period. Corona dominated in the second and took a 45-26 lead into the locker room at the half.

Junior center Ike Anigbogu and sophomore power forward Jalen Hill each scored 15 points in the Huskies rout. Junior Jordan Griffin added 13 and senior Kahlil Ahmad scored nine points against the Sea Hawks. Seniors Chris Famous and Kyle Hamilton each added three points and John Wahhab scored two.
Redondo was led by junior Leland Green’s 17 points. Junior Morgan Means added 13 points, sophomore Ryse Williams and junior Cameron Williams each scored 11. Senior Isaiah Jackson scored six, Cameron High five, Ryan Reeves three and Elijah Nesbit two points.
The Huskies outscored the Sea Hawks 40-38 in the second half to coast to a comfortable 85-64 victory over Redondo Union. With the victory, Centennial advances to the California State Division 1 Regional Championship Final game this Saturday. Game time is 4pm at the Pyramid in Long Beach.
