Murrieta Mesa Drops Another Heartbreaker, Falls to 1-10 in the Southwestern LeagueMurrieta Mesa pitcher Austen Salcedo made his first start of the season and gave up just one run while taming the big Bronco Bats Friday. Unfortunately that was just not good enough. The Southwestern League’s ERA leader Jack Moberg was on the mound for the Broncos.
Moberg proceeded to shut down the Ram offense as he threw a one hit shutout to beat Murrieta Mesa 1-0. It was a classic duel as each team came up with big defensive plays and both pitchers were impressive. The Broncos scored the only run they needed in the fourth inning.
