Vista Murrieta Head Coach Coley Candaele has built one of the finest High School football programs in the Southland and the nation. Candaele came to Vista Murrieta when it opened 12 years ago and has built a dynasty. The Broncos have won eight Southwestern League championships and have a 30 game winning streak against Southwestern League opponents.
The last time that Vista Murrieta lost a Southwestern league game was to Murrieta Valley way back in November of 2008.

The Broncos were the 2011 CIF SS Inland Division Champions and have been involved in six straight CIF SS Championship Playoff Games.
Vista Murrieta lost to Mission Viejo 21-10 last season and the Broncos are looking to wrap up some unfinished business in 2015.

Coach Candaele’s goals go beyond just winning football games. He and his staff instill respect, focus and integrity into their players. The program’s goal is to build quality young adults who are ready to face the future after they graduate.
“This game of football lasts for four years in high school’ said Candaele. “ We want these kids to build a foundation for the rest of their life”.
Eric Peterson is Candaele’s Assistant Head Coach and Offensive Coordinator. He helps run the offensive staff which is comprised of Matt Bean the running back coach, Brandon Clanton who handles the wide receivers, Rick Hansen the assistant quarterback coach and Gene Miranda who is the offensive line coach.
David Olson is Vista Murrieta’s Defensive Coordinator. John Blakemore is the linebacker coach while Frank Carido and Lonnie Ford coach the defensive line. Doug Dubois is the assistant linebacker coach and Howie Nelson and Joseph Ramer coach the defensive backs.
Candaele also led the Broncos to their first California State Track & Field Title in the school’s history this past season. He was also recently named the Athletic Director for the school.
The Broncos start their season with a home game against Ballard high school from Seattle Washington. The Beavers are coming off a five and five season and were Seatlte's 3A Metro Valley league champions in 2014.
