The Wolfpack was 10-3 last season and went all the way to the CIF SS West Valley Division Semifinal game in the Playoffs. The Pack lost to Mission Viejo 41-36 and the Diablos went on to defeat Vista Murrieta in the Championship game. It was the best season in Great Oak High School history and the Wolpack is loaded with talent and looking to build on last season’s success.

Coach Robbie Robinson returns for his seventh year at Great Oak. Robinson was recognized for his team’s success and was named a 2014 Semper Fi Coach of the Year Award Recipient from the US Marine Corps for his efforts. This award is given to honor high school football coaches who display faithfulness to the mission of their team and exemplify the Marine Corps standard of excellence in developing young leaders.

This will be Robinson’s 26th season coaching high school football. He spent five seasons at Westminster High School, 11 years at Vista in San Diego and three years at Chaparral High school prior to taking over the Great Oak Football Program. In his time as Head Coach, Robinson has led the Wolfpack to a 36-30 record and into the CIF Southern Secion playoffs four times
Robinson will also act as the team’s Offensive Coordinator. His staff includes Running Back Coach Paul Bennett, Quarterback Coach Craig Bell and Chris Dress, who coaches the receivers. Coach Greg Alex is responsible for both the offensive and defensive lines.

Herschel Ramirez is the new Assistant Head Coach and is also the Defensive Coordinator. Garth Jensen is the Linebacker Coach and Mike Green coaches the defensive backs.
The Wolpack is working hard this summer to get ready for the 2015-16 season. Great Oak will face Heritage at home to begin the season on August 28th. The Patriots finished second in the CIF SS Inland Division Playoffs and are the perennial Sunbelt League Champions. It promises be a great game on opening night.
