The Nighthawk Girls Lacrosse team played its first ever home game at Murrieta Valley Stadium Thursday night. The inaugural game was a bit of a disappointment for the school’s first year team. The more experienced Wolfpack Girls program shut out the Nighthawks and defeated Murrieta 17-0.

It was Murrieta Valley’s second loss of the season. The Nighthawks lost to Murrieta Mesa 9-4 o March 4 in their first game of the season. Murrieta Valley will be home on Tuesday, March 17 to host the Pumas.
Chaparral is undefeated and has a 2-0 record so far this season. The Pumas are coming off an 18-2 rout of Vista Murrieta last Thursday night. They began the season with a 18-3 victory. Vista Murrieta will be home to play the Rams next Tuesday night.

Murrieta Mesa, Vista Murrieta and Murrieta Valley are in the first year of developing a Varsity Lacrosse Program for Girls and Boys this year. Mesa Principal Steve Ellis played a key role in getting the MVUSD to get the sport approved and made into a Varsity sport.

Great Oak is 3-0 and playing University at Laguna High School today. Game time is 12 noon. The Wolfpack will be home on Wednesday night to take on Murrieta Mesa. All games start at 7:30.
