Great Oak’s Kayla Green started the Wolfpack onslaught in the first inning Monday as she hit a towering home run to drive in Laura Curry who had led off the inning with a single. Amazingly, this was the eighth game in a row that the Wolfpack catcher has hit a home run in.

Successive hits by Emily Burrows, Autumn Storms and Korynn VanShalk loaded the bases in the third inning. stepped into the box and brought them all home with a double off the right field wall. Quinata drove two more runners across the plate in the third inning with her second double to put the Pack up 9-0
.

Curry, Stencil and Berta Nejo were on board when Dylinn Stancil put the game away in the fourth inning with a grand slam home run.

Wolfpack pitchers Autumn Storms and Elizabeth Engler combined for a seven hit, one run victory. The Rams finally got on the board in the top of the fifth. Alexis Watts tripled and two outs later was driven in by Erica Huesca’s single. Huesca was thrown out at second on the subsequent play to end the game.

Great Oak is in a tie for the Southwestern League title with Murrieta Valley. Both teams are unbeaten with identical 8-0 records. They will meet this week to play the last two games of the regular season to determine who wears the Crown in 2015.
Game one will be at Great Oak on Wednesday and game two is at Murrieta Valley on Friday. The Rams will finish their season with two against Chaparral.
