The Nighthawks were scheduled to play a much anticipated game against Great Oak for a share of the title. The Wolpack were 8-1.

According to Murrieta Valley Athletic Director Darin Mott the game was canceled by CIF Southern Section officials  Only teams that required a victory to advance to the CIF SS Playoffs would play. Since the Nighthawks and the Wolfpack were solidly locked into the playoff picture, the game was nixed.
