On Wednesday, August 12, 2015, at approximately 8:53 am, officers from Jurupa Valley Police Department began investigating a report of a missing 19-year-old woman. The investigation led the officers to an apartment on the 5600 block of Tilton Avenue in Jurupa Valley.
At approximately 3:00 pm, officers knocked on the door of an apartment believed to belong to the woman's ex-boyfriend. The door was answered by a male identified as 19-year-old, Nunez, who had self-inflicted non-life threatening injuries. Officers entered the apartment and discovered the missing 19-year-old female deceased on the floor.
Investigators from the Jurupa Valley Station and the Riverside County Sheriff's Central Homicide Unit responded to the scene and assumed the investigation. Based on their investigation, Miguel Ramon Nunez was arrested for murder. The identity of woman is being withheld pending notification to her family.
