The Murrieta Mayor Says that the Allegations of Sexual Harassment are Completely False

1DSC_0163Murrieta Mayor Harry Ramos denied sexually harassing Kathleen Smith at a Murrieta Chamber of Commerce Mixer in January. Smith claims that the Mayor made unwanted and inappropriate sexual advances, groped and eve tried to kiss her after she accepted his offer to walk her to her car. The city has 45 days to act on her claim. Her attorney Dan Gilleon plans to file a lawsuit if the claim is denied.

Smith’s claim lists three names as witnesses. One of the names identified is a person associated with the City. This person is conducting an investigation of Ramos for alleged violations of the City of Murrieta’s professional code of conduct.

The Mayor countered that he was a victim of political games and posturing and felt that he was being derailed by crony politics with racist overtones.

Details on the type of information was being given to the prosecutors was not available and Ramos would not field questions during the press conference.

“All associated with this sham should be ashamed,” said Ramos.
