Craft Brewers John Maino and Greg Webb Bring Great Tasting Beers to the Area

1184820_375844799184882_1099917452_nAt Ironfire, John Maino and Greg Webb are brewing some of the highest quality craft ales and lagers in the Valley. The two perfectionists painstakingly modify each batch time and time again until they absolutely love the end product. No beer will be allowed to be sold until they believe that it’s worthy of being called  an IronFire brew.

Maino and Webb met while making beer at Ballast Point in San Diego and decided to start their own brewery in Temecula.

They produce their ales and lagers in their own unique "style." This sometimes leads to IronFire beers not fitting into neat little cookie cutter categories. Ironfire's robust, full flavored beers are for the folks who enjoy beer in all its forms regardless of classification, origin or preconceived notions.

We started with the 51-50 IPA with its pungent and dank hop flavor. It’s a Classic San Diego style IPA with minimal malt flavor so the hops shine through. Fresh, clean and mean. It’s 6.5% ABV and has a 95 IBU rating.

Brewed in the tradition of a So-Cal session IPA, it’s copper in color with a medium malt body. This ale is brewed to be dry on the palate and have a distinctive floral fruitiness found in the aroma.

The Vicious Disposition is a surprisingly smooth imperial porter, brewed with local avocado honey from Fallbrook. Its complex mix of malt flavors leads to a rich and buttery finish, making this deceptively dark Porter easy to drink. Vicious Disposition is 9% ABV and is great at a slightly warmer temperature.
