When you enter Shamrock Irish Pub & Eatery in Murrieta it’s like stepping into a Pub in Dublin, Ireland. You are surrounded y stone walls, a polished wood bar and several large screen TVs playing sports from all over the world.
There is a full bar and plenty of beer on tap but the real star of the Pub is the food.
Chef Anthony Bartolotta is in charge of the restaurant’s menu. Bartolotta grew up in a kitchen in the Bronx and has a passion for food. He is a graduate of the Le Cordon Bleu Culinary Arts Program in San Francisco, but the chef insists that he has learned just as much working in Italian restaurants in New York, Sicily and as a chef in Temecula’s wine country.
“We have our Irish standards like the Guinness Beef Stew, Shepherd’s Pie and he Corned Beef and Cabbage” said Chef Bartolotta “but I encourage people to try some of the items you don’t traditionally find in a Pub”.

The Chef started us off with the soup of the day which was Clam Chowder. It was delightfully creamy and light, with lots of clams. The dish was accompanied by a toasted Three Cheese sandwich with house mead jam.

Next we sampled the Chef’s Sesame-Ginger Buffalo Wings. They were quite tasty with a hint of an influence of Asian flavors. The wins came topped with carrots, celery and sesame seeds. There are many other variations of wings on the menu including the Curry Sauced Wings which is on our list of items to try next time.

The Shrimp Flat Bread was next and it came with a perfectly cooked crust. It was topped with a wonderful blend of jalapeño crème fresh, roasted problano peppers, shrimp and pepper jack cheese. It really went exceptionally well with the IPA that I was drinking.
One of the best sellers in the Pub is the Whiskey Beer Burger. It’s a half pound of Certified Angus beef served on a pretzel bun topped with pepper jack cheese, beer battered bacon and a whiskey barbecue sauce. Oh, it also comes with these spicy beer battered jalapeños.
The Wild Citrus Atlantic Salmon was Rick’s favorite. It was a impeccable grilled slice of marinated salmon served on top of a lemon caper risotto. The chef finished the dish with a light crab beurre blanc. It was amazing but my top choice was the Fish and Chips which came out next.

The Fish & Chips here are some of the best that I have had in a very long time. The menu calls them “legendary” and I can see why. The golden beer battered cod was deep fried to perfection and served with their signature Shamrock fries and cabbage salad. Mmmm. Enough said.

We ended our Meal with a dish of Fresh Figs and ice cream drizzled with a Zinfandel wine reduction. It was an excellent way to end the meal. The chef also has an assortment of dessertsfor all you sweet lovers like a decadent Brownie, New York Style cheesecake among other choices.
The pub also features live entertainment on the weekend and a comedy club on Tuesday nights.
