Come Out and Enjoy a Tradition Deeply Rooted in Murrieta History

MFDBBQ15_2The Murrieta Fire Department will be celebrating its 68th Annual Bar-B-Q this Sunday afternoon at Fire Station #1 off of Juniper Street and Adams Ave. The feasting starts at 11:30 am and lasts until 4:30 pm. This time tested recipe is 68 years old so come on out and feast on the world’s best Bar-B-Q.

The meal features Deep Pit BBQ Beef, all the traditional trimmings like beans, potato salad and coleslaw.  All this “good eating” for only $10 bucks. There is also a Children’s menu option of a hotdog and bag of chips that is available for $5.

In addition to the great food, the attractions will include a live band, rides, games, and booths where local vendors showcase their businesses and hand-made crafts.  The Fire Explorers will be there giving fire station tours, demonstrations, and apparatus and equipment will be on display.
