Coach Coley Candaele’s Broncos Ranked Number One in the West Valley Division

West Valley Division
The CIF Southern Section released their week one Football Polls. As expected, Vista Murrieta is o top of the West Valley Division. According to Head Coach Coley Candaele this year’s Bronco team can be one of the best he has put on the field.

“We return seven guys on offense and six guys on defense” said Coach Candaele. “These guys have been to the CIF Championship game. They’ve been there and know what is expected to get there again. We have the capability of doing great things again this year”.

Another Southwestern League team, Great Oak is close behind at number four despite their season opening 35-13 loss to Heritage. The Wolfpack is young according to Coach Robbie Robinson and need to get the experience playing with a lot of sophomores. Last year’s Division Champion Mission Viejo is ranked third behind Rancho Cucamonga.

Inland Empire Division
Heritage is ranked second behind Redlands East Valley (REV) in the Inland Empire Division. The Patriots have won the Sunbelt League Championship five straight seasons and have won all 25 league games since joining the league in 2010.  They have an overall record of 59-7 over the same period.

Paloma Valley crushed JW North 39-0 on opening night and earned the 10th spot in the polls for the Inland Empire Division. Coach Bert Esposito’s Wildcats are tough defensively ad can explode on offense.

Northwestern Division

"I'm real proud of the team" said Burns. "It was a challenge for the team and they got the job done. We came out strong early and dominated the pace of the game. It was good to come out and beat a team that we have had no success against”.

11902428_1185722204788442_5189299199734549957_nOne team visibly missing from the CIF SS Polls was Chaparral. The Pumas pounded La Quinta into quick submission. Chaparral was dominant on both sides of the pigskin as the defense held the Blackhawk to a single touchdown on opening night.  “It’s Ok with me” said Puma Head Coach Jeremy McCullough. “It’s not where we start the season that counts, it’s where we finish”.
