Chaparral home against Riverside Poly
The Pumas looked impressive in their opening game as Chaparral crushed La Quinta 37-7 at home. They will face Riverside Poly this Friday, a very talented team that lost to Redlands East Valley in the Inland Division Championship game last year. It will be the Bears’ first game of the season.
“Poly is coming off a great season, they were 10-3 and are well coached” said Chaparral Coach Jeremy McCullough. “It’s going to be an interesting game and I think they are going to be great competition for us on Friday”.

Vista Murrieta will open the season against the Beavers of Ballard High School from Seattle Washington.
“We return seven guys on offense and six guys on defense” said Coach Candaele. “These guys have been to the CIF championship game. They’ve been there and know what is expected to get there again. We have the capability of doing great things again this year”.
Coach Candaele also stated that this year’s offensive line is one of the best to play for the Broncos. This will also be Ballard’s first game of the season.
Great Oak at King
The Wolfpack is looking to rebound Friday night after last week’s 35-13 loss to Heritage. Great Oak Coach Robbie Robinson said that his team is young this year and it may take a few games to get the experience that is needed.

King lost to the Wolfpack 27-21 last season and ended the year with a 5-5 record finishing fourth in the Big VIII league.
Murrieta Valley home against Citrus Hill
Coach George Wilson’s overhaul of the Nighthawk coaching staff looks to be paying off, as Murrieta Valley blew past Temescal Canyon 34-19 last week. “We are obviously happy that we won, but we know that we have to clean a lot of stuff up for his week,” said Wilson.
