HS Football: The Rancho Christian Eagles Soar Past the Bobcats 49-26

The Eagles Break Out to a 35-10 Lead at the Half, Never Look Back

11742902_495478797287626_8730730280999449052_nStill stinging from last week’s loss, Rancho Christian wasted no time getting their offense ignited and taking care of business. The Eagles scored on the opening kickoff as Evan Pruitt took the ball on the five yard line and darted 95-yards into the end zone to get things started for Rancho Christian.

Moments later Malosi Napoleon took a handoff from quarterback Carter Treadway at mid-field and broke away for a 50-yard touchdown run. Emma Baker nailed the second of her seven PATs and the Eagles took a 14-0 lead.

The Bobcats came back with a 46-yard field goal to make it 14-3 as the first quarter ended. Rancho Christian scored three unanswered touchdowns in the second quarter. Jesse Roman scored from the six.

The speedy running back then ran another one 90 yards for a touchdown after Peyton Miller had recovered a fumble and returned it for a score.

Hamilton managed to score a touchdown against the tough Eagle defense late in the second quarter and trailed 35-10 at the half.
11057445_495479600620879_5531611351484198121_oEagle quarterback Cater Treadway got rolling in the third period. He first hit wide receiver Evan Pruitt on a 8-Yard touchdown pass He then found Peyton Miller open and tossed a 25 scoring pass to put Rancho Christian up 49-10 to  put the game away.
The Bobcats scored two more times and were successful on both 2-point conversions to make the final score 49-26.

Treadway completed 12 of his 15 passes for 135-yards and two touchdowns. Napoleon led the Eagles with 184-yards on 11 carries and Roman added 105-yards. Pruitt caught 3-passes for 32-yards.

The Eagles even their record to 1-1 and will travel to Victorville next week to play Excelsior Charter. Excelsior has lost both games of their 2015 season.
