The Rancho Christian defense was dominant from the very beginning of their game against Excelsior. Eagles senior Peyton Miller got things started for Rancho Christian in the first quarter with a safety to put them up by 2.

Quarterback Carter Treadway methodically drove the Eagles downfield in the second quarter to set up a 1-yard touchdown run by Jesse Roman. Treadway then hit Evan Pruitt for a 17-yard touchdown and Rancho Christian would take a 15-0 lead into the locker room at halftime.
It was Jesse Roman who put points on the Board again for the Eagles in the third quarter. Roman intercepted an Excelsior pass and ran it back 80-yards into the end zone. He then took the ball and scored the 2-point conversion.
Treadway and Pruitt hooked up again later in the third period. This time it was for a 19-yard touchdown to put the Eagles up30-0 to begin the final quarter.
Excelsior finally got on the scoreboard in the fourth quarter scoring on a 49 yard run. That was all the scoring for both teams and Rabcho Christian brought home the 30-7 victory.

Treadway completed 11 of his 16 passes for 98-yards and 2-TDs. Freshman running back Malosi Napoleon rushed for 126 yards on 9-carries and a TD. Evan Pruitt Peyton Miller had 4-receptions each aginst Excelsior.
Rancho Christian will be headed to Solana Beach next Friday to play Santa Fe Christian for yet another “Battle of the Eagles”. Santa Fe is 2-1 and coming off a 41-6 stomping of Big Bear.
