The Wildcats were spanked by Vista last Friday night. The 61-7 was one of the worst losses Paloma Valley has suffered. The Wildcats had better luck in the season opener against JW North with a 34-0 win.
King came bck to tie the Wolfpack in the fourth quarter and the slipped past a frustrated Great Oak in a double overtime 23-17 victory last week. The Wolves are a physical, focused team and will be difficult to score on.
Heritage 92-0) home against La Quinta (0-2)
The Patriots’ powerful juggernaut will play their home opener against La Quinta Friday night. Heritage has scored 70 points and only given up 17 this season. Led by quarterback Brett Virgil and running backs Jalen Glover and Javier Luna, this team can move the chains. Anthony Adcock, Jayden dawson and Logan Dreese anchor the defense.
La Quinta has lost to Chaparral 37-8 and to Villa Park 35-10.
Lakeside home against Canyon Springs
The Lancers are off to a 1-1 start this season. After losing to Chaffer 35-6 in the season opener, Lakeside came back to stun Colton 33-16 last week. The Lancers are led by Jazzdon Stewart, Diego PnceGreg Cooper and Tristan Morgan.
Canyon Springs lost their season opener last week to Vista del Lago 51-12.
Elsinore (0-2) at Murrieta Valley (2-0)
The Tigers start the 2015 season with three consecutive away games. The first was a 63-35 loss to Corona. Last week they fell 39-15 against arch rival Temecula Valley. Elsinore is led by senior quarterback Marc Castro and running back Anthony Reyes.
Murrieta Valley is experiencing a resurgence in their football program and are off to a fast start this season. Led by freshman quarterbak Hank Bachmeier, the Nighthawks are 2-0 after defeating highly ranked Citrus Hill 44-21 last week.
Temescal Canyon (0-2) home against Palm Springs (2-0)
The Titans have lost 2 in a row to begin the 2015 season. They fell to Murrieta Valley 34-19 in the opener and then lost to San Jacinto 27-14 last week. Temexcal Canyon led by senior quarterback Justin Gomez, Artie Barrera and running back Austin Cuicchi.
Palm Springs destroyed Tahquitz 37-0 in their opener. They followed that with a 22-16 victory over Redlands last week.
Perris (1-1) at Pacific (1-0)
The Panthers won their first game of the season 56-34 and then fell to Notre Dame 44-19 last week. Perris started last season with a 5-0 run as they prepared for league play. Pacific crushed Arroyo Valley 47-13 last week in their season opener.
