Temecula Valley beat Escondido Charter 2-0 then took care of Escondido in two games. The Bears final game of the day was a tough 2-1 victory over Point Loma.
The Golden Bears dominated Day 2 of the tournament, not dropping a set in their remaining 4-games. Temecula beat Calvin Christian, Mission Vista and then Point Loma twice to win the tournament and claim the Crown.
The Bears won the final Championship game 2-0 against the Pointers by a score of 25-19 and 25–23. Lindsey Schell had 4 blocks, and 5 kills for TVHS. Kyra Eyerman added 7 kills and Kali Greathead ended the match with 5 kills and 11 digs.
“This past weekend was a team win with each and every player contributing to our success” said Golden Bears head Coach Leanna Bush.” Three of our players were recognized on the All-Tournament Team. Congratulations to Kali Greathead, Lindsey Schell, and Jordyn Amoy”.
The Golden Bears will travel to face Hemet at 4:30 this afternoon. The Bulldogs are 8-3 overall and are coming off a 3-1 loss to Murrieta Mesa
Three Golden Bears Named to the All-Tournament Team
The Temecula Valley Girls Volleyball team was crowned Champions of the 2015 Firebird Classic at Pacific Ridge High School over the weekend.
