New Chaparral Girls Volleyball Head Coach Dana Burkholder was pleased with the way he Pumas played in yesterday’s scrimmage with Elsinore. "The scrimmage against Elsinore gave me a great opportunity to look at my line-up options and different combinations of players in a game setting” said Burkholder. Elsinore looks good and I think both teams have a strong season ahead."

Elsinore took the march 3games to 2. “Elsinore has a lot of talent and they are a well-coached team,” said Burkholder. “Renee Horton is a great coach and has done a great job building the Tiger program and I’m sure they will do well again this year.”
Chaparral was 17-11 overall last season and placed second to undefeated Great Oak in the Southwestern league with a 8-3 record. Elsinore was the Sunbelt league Champion and played all the way into the 2014 CIF-SS Semifinals before their season ended.
The Pumas will begin their season today at home to face the Bears from Riverside Poly. The Bears were 17-13 overall and finished second in the Inland Valley league last season.
Game time is 4:30pm
