ELSINORE: Two Arrested for Assault with a Firearm




On Wednesday, October 7, 2015, at approximately 5:30 PM, deputies were dispatched to a report of a subject suffering from a gunshot wound in a vacant lot near Akley Street and Adelfa Street in Lakeland Village, an unincorporated area of Riverside County.


Deputies arrived and located the victim under a tree in the vicinity. The victim was transported to a local hospital with an apparent non-life-threatening gunshot injury. The investigation revealed that two adult males, approached the victim and a verbal altercation took place. During the altercation, one of the males produced a handgun and shot the victim. The two suspects in this case were seen leaving the area in a gold-colored van.

At approximately 6:15 PM, a deputy assisting in the investigation observed a vehicle matching the description of the vehicle leaving the location. Deputies conducted a stop on the vehicle and detained the occupants and arrested both occupants.

Phillip Goodman and Guillaume Aguerre, both Lake Elsinore residents, were booked at the Southwest Detention Center for assault with a deadly weapon likely to cause great bodily injury.
