Lake Elsinore: Trapped Driver Extracted from Crash with a Live Power Line Across the Vehicle

Firefighters were busy early Tuesday morning. A power pole was hit and knocked down across the wreckage of a car crash on Rosetta Canyon Drive, at Highway 74 at around 8am.

Firefighters arrived and discovered a live power line was lying across the vehicle that had hit a light pole and knocked down the power line.

Southern California Edison responded to de-energize the line. Once the power line was de-energized, The firefighters were able to extricate the victim.

The driver was transported to an area hospital by ground ambulance hospital with moderate injuries.
