Ranked Tops in their Divisions
This
week’s CIF Southern Section Divisional Volleyball polls has been
released and eight local High Schools have been ranked in the top
spots in their respective Divisions.
Rancho
Christian, Cornerstone Christian, Paloma Valley, Elsinore, Temecula
Prep , Linfield Christian Vista Murrieta and Temecula Valley are
those selected few.
Cornerstone
Christian remains the most feared team in Division 9. The Number One
ranked Crusaders are 17-1 after defeating Cossroads Christian in
straight sets. Cornerstone travels to La Verne Thhurday to face
Calvary Baptist.
Ranked
fifth in Division 9 is Temecula Prep. The Patriots are 13-8 and are
coming off a three set victory over Sherman Indian. Temecula will be
in Nuevo for a league game against Nuview Bridge today.
Rancho
Christian continues to dominate Division 7 and is ranked Number One.
The Eagles are 14-7 this season and are coming off a loss to Point
Loma. Rancho Christian is in Garden Grove to play Orangewood Academy
tonight.
In
Division 3, Paloma Valley dropped a rank from fourth to fifth. The
Wildcats were the Sunbelt league co-champions last year and have an
impressive 17-3record this season. Paloma Valley will be home to face
Ivy league rival Notre Dame today.
In
Division 1-2, Temecula Valley maintains their spot in the CIF Polls
at 13. The Golden Bears are 11-6 overall and playing exceptional
volleyball. Temecula continue swith Southwestern league play and will
play Chaparral today.
Also in
th top Division, Vista Murrieta has broken into the 8th
spot. The Broncos are 8-7 overall and 2-1 in league. They ace off
against Southwestern opponent Great Oak today.
In
Division 6, Linfield Christian has fought back to get to the fifth
spot. The Lions are now 13-2 overall and 5-1 in league. The Lions
suit up againstWestern Christian tonight.
