Moreno Valley: Valley View High School Student Arrested for Assaulting another Student




On Tuesday, November 5, 2019, about 12:42 PM, the School Resource Officer (SRO) assigned to the Valley View High School received information of an assault on school property.


The ensuing investigation led to the identification of a 14-year-old male student. The SRO obtained school video surveillance depicting the student assaulting another 14-year-old male student. The victim did not sustain any visible injuries, and he declined medical attention.

Upon contacting the suspect, the suspect assaulted the SRO. The suspect was arrested and transported to the Riverside University Health System – Medical Center (RUHS) and treated for a minor injury. The suspect was subsequently transported and booked into the Riverside County Juvenile Hall for Battery on school Grounds and Resisting Arrest. The SRO did not sustain any injuries as a result of this incident.


At the direction of Sheriff Chad Bianco, the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department is committed to the safety and security of our youth and takes a zero-tolerance approach to criminal acts on school grounds and in our community.
