Over
750 Plants Seized in the House
On the
evening of October 31, 2019, a family took their children
trick-or-treating along the 2900 Block of Crooked Branch Way, San
Jacinto. Upon approaching a residence, the parent discovered the
front door to the residence open with marijuana growing inside.
Deputies
from the San Jacinto station arrived and conducted an interior search
of the unoccupied residence. The interior of the residence was
heavily modified for the illicit cultivation of marijuana. Deputies
authored and served a search warrant at the location and seized 759
marijuana plants in various stages of growth.
An
electrical bypass was located inside the garage, necessitating
deputies in contacting Southern California Edison to assist in the
investigation. San Jacinto Code Enforcement unsafe and unhabitual
and red-tagged the home. A dog at the location was turned over to
the Ramona Humane Society for safekeeping.
Deputies
confiscated all contraband located on the property, but no arrests
have were made. The investigation is ongoing.
