Brandon Stewart singled and scored in the first inning to put Great Oak on top. The Wollfpack would score two more in the third and again in the sixth.
Stewart went 2-for-2, scored twice and drove in two runs. Mitch Hayes had two hits and two RBIs with his double in the third. Try Endis, Garron Alexander and Zeke Young scored the other Wolfpack runs.
The Pumas scored Chaparral their only run off Knoll in the fourth when Brhet Brewley doubled and was driven home by Marc Sauceda. Sauceda had two hits against the Wolfpack. Jake Hitch and Casey McKelvie each had a hit in the game.
The Pumas will travel to Murrieta Valley to take on the Nighthawks who are tied for first place with Vista Murrieta. Great Oak will be at Temecula Valley to play the Golden Bears. The Bears are 10-7-1 overall and 5-4 in league.
Zack Noll Strikes Out 9 and Wins it for the Wolfpack
The Wolfpack’s Zack Noll scattered three hits, giving up a run while striking out nine Pumas as he beat Chaparral 5-1. The victory kept Great Oak in the race for the title as they improved to 4-4 in league play with seven games left to play.CLICK HERE FOR MORE PHOTOS
